     The technology field has been introduced to new young strong influences in the industry. They attain world-class coding skills and are only in their teens. One child, Harry Moran, only twelve years old speaks out and teaches people about what kids really want to play. He is also the youngest to app developer as of 2011. He is a great advocate for the non-profit institutes that he himself had learned computer coding from. In particular, the CoderDojo, teaches students who want to create apps, programs, and computer functions. These places are popping up all over to reach out to younger (primarily) students wanting to learn how to create codes and basics of computers. These institutes bring a new vision of education to the table for the younger mind. They say the best way to teach them is to encourage the children themselves to be mentors when they learn something. 
There was a recent incident where Moran's neighbor's child had a tumor growing behind his eye. The doctors didn't have a program where they were able to view scans via internet so they couldn't diagnose how to treat it. Moan stepped in and created the program they needed, and it helped save the other boy's life.

Algae Farm Provides Renewable Energy!

One of many algae farms, particularly Phil Lane's out in Ohio, has been putting out the word that algae might be a great energy alternative to fossil fuel use. Phil Lane has been performing many tests and trials with using algae for multi-purposes. One of the benefits of working this farm, says Phil, is "Algae can be grown just about anywhere, so we are not competing with farmland for growing food crops," said Lane, who manages the Wooster algae pilot facility. "Algae can add value to marginal lands, generating a crop that can be turned into biofuel and a variety of bioproducts." Algae can be used not only for an efficient source of energy, but for ingredients for bio-degradable products, health safe food naturalizer, and natural additives. Algae is also packed with beneficial vitamins for your body. The algae farming business is spreading quickly throughout the country and is looking very promising for future resources.

Caffeine in New and Upcoming Foods

   

 There are plenty of people out there that can't drink coffee or choose not to. There's plenty of alternatives to coffee to get that extra boost in the morning from the caffeine. Some drink energy drinks,others choose to drink teas, smoothies, eat nuts, or super foods. Wrigley Company had a novel idea of incorporating caffeine into something that just about everyone can enjoy: Gum. But the FDA has been investigating the effects of these incorporated caffeines because of recent reports of death due to disturbed heart beats and physical effects of performance. Wrigley's new "Alert Energy Gum" contains in one piece, the amount of caffeine that's in about 1/2 cup of coffee. It won't be soon until other food items such as jelly beans, potato chips, etc. will be fused with caffeine. The FDA is closely watching the market on these new foods with caffeine integrated foods to reduce the "too much of a good thing" theory.

     Most people know I love long boarding in the summer, so it's something I'm pretty passionate about. It's a great feeling to come home after a day of work and coast on down to the beach on the board. Here I thought motorized bikes were pretty nifty by themselves, but low and behold they've attached motors to the long board. Could it change the audience of long board users? Out in Cali, they might be able to do this. Kickstarter CEO, Sanjay Dastoor, recently gave a presentation on a new business called Boosted Boards. Boosted Boards has created promo trial boards. These boards are controlled by a basic remote control. One can simply start and stop the board's momentum. The [ELECTRIC] motors can be charged in a simple outlet in about 20 minutes. Helmets and protective gear are recommended, as they go 20 mph. (Going 27 and 28 mph on a motorized bike seems pretty fast, thought it doesn't in a car.) These boards are exceptionally cheap, lightweight, and gets you were you need using 20x less energy used by a car. Keep in mind that these boards were created in Cali, most likely for people getting to work that isn't too far away. It is a very green alternative to a car for people whom live close to their work, or down town areas. I can't even tell you how bad I want one.

Innovational Studies in China

     "Will the cure for autism be discovered in China? A decade ago this would have been a preposterous question. But today people such as Wang Jian, a genetic researcher with a liking for cargo pants, believe the answer could be yes." China has been labeled a 'copy-cat' for many years because of their reproduction of items sold cheaper to outside customers. Thus we forget they that they invented gunpowder and the compass. But recent years have shown that they have slipped from the hands of originality. “Our ability to copy is far greater than our originality,” Zhang Xin, chief ex­ecutive of real estate group Soho, told a panel discussion." But lately China has had a rejuvenation of innovations. Mr. Wang interviews on behalf of BGI, a very large genetic sequencing company.  He tells Hook, the interviewer, that they may have made a huge discovery pertaining to a cure for autism. BGI has mapped out cancer genomes for almost all animals, plants, and humans. With this information, they have had many new leads for medicines, therapy drugs, and new cures.

Man Chops off both his Arms in Home Depot

     On April 11th, a man entered the Covina Home Depot and began cutting both of his arms off. It scared and scarred many people who were present.  A off duty paramedic  by the name of Art Hurtado was there as well. As soon as the Paramedic saw him he had limited supplies to help the man bleeding on the ground. First he thought it was a crime scene with foul play, but he saw movement, and he had to formulate a plan to help save the 50 year old man. As soon as paramedics with the ambulance came with the right equipment to help, Hurtado backed off to let the men do their job.  If it wasn't for Hurtado in that moment of time to help the man, he would have died. They don't know what provoked the man to do what he did, but suspect drug use or mental complications.

World Controversy over Art and Sports

On the threat scale, we have progressed to next dangerous level as of April 1st, 2013. Going from 'Moo Goo Gai Pan' all the way to the dangerous level 'vanilla rice pudding'. From the controversy over art blogs, publications and notifications have sky rocketed. It links back to two high-schoolers, whom had a small debate over who could not only create better blogs than each other, but keep up on the latest news, and have the most knowledge on their topics. Lately, people from all over the globe have been raving about these topics, also disturbing the peace in Hong Kong. The art exhibit being held by the famous art blogger Art Fearing next to the Hong Kong Buffet in Sturgeon Bay, has caused the restaurant to remain in a state of silent delightedness (Possibly Confusion.) If the controversy continues to acerbate, the president is preparing our country's army for breakouts, riots, and threats.
