Not Too Far Away

As you can see in this inspiring video by Corning, the possibilities of future technologies. Though of course we haven't fully gotten to this point in time when this technology can be sold on the market, it isn't too far away.

Corning Glass Video

A new glass phone prototype has just presented to the press by Polytron Technologies. The new device isn't technically see through, it uses light lasers inside of the top and bottom enclosed square glass piece. It projects the pictures and buttons onto the glass inside. As you can see in the picture, it includes the SIM card, SD card, and batteries. Polytron is keeping in mind that they may use darker glass or use cameras to hide the needed components to appear see-through. Here's my thought: Enough people have trouble enough finding their phones when their ringer is off, that's a real blast isn't it? Think about having a clear glass phone, and the ringer is off. (Double the fun to find!)

Hoo's There?

A new owl species has been found! In the Indonesian islands, a unique birdsong was heard. What they heard was a Rinjani scops owl. It's a local friend of Mount Rinjani, and most commonly found.
Sanger is a very knowledgeable man about ornithology, he shares that the way birds communicate to each other is through their different songs. Sanger didn't expect to find this owl, but chanced upon it when he was traveling near the Mountain and heard the owl cry.
"I did not expect to find a new species, and certainly not one that is this common," Sangster told OurAmazingPlanet. "It is a wake-up call for ornithologists: there is still much to learn, and new species can reveal themselves even if you are not looking for them, and in places where no one expected to find something new."
Sanger's crew of researchers played this newfound owl song to another group of native owls from the same area. The native owls didn't know how to respond to the call. This was to prove that Rinjani scops owls were of a different species that they hadn't documented. There are many known species of owls (250), but many more to be discovered!
